Donald Kaufman Color uses a full range of colorants from the color wheel, eliminating blacks and umbers, which are muting pigments. A term in the industry called full spectrum paint. Most traditional architectural paint manufacturers use only a few colorants including those masking pigments, to create similar, at the same time colors that fall way short. Donald Kaufman Color and its complex colorant system has a glow and luminosity that is breath taking.
Every Donald Kaufman Color tin is handcrafted, mixed to perfection. The colors are available in a full range of sheens. Please allow a lead time and plan projects in advance. The minimum turnaround is one business day, we ask you to please be patient with this excellence of a system. Wet sampling and using a recommended base coat are both crucial to the process.
